Online Education Classes for BGSU Credit

These classes are ideal for teachers, principals and superintendents who are working toward license renewal. Each course is based on Ohio Leadership Advisory Council (OLAC) modules. Once you decide on which courses interest you, be sure to fill out the graduate non-degree student form found at the link below, and follow all instructions found therein:

Application to be a Graduate Non-Degree Student:
This must be filled out in order to register for the class(es)

  1. Once the Graduate Non-degree Student form is filled out, send it to Registration and Records (contact information is on the form).
  2. Registration and Records will send you a BGSU ID number via email.
  3. Once you have your BGSU ID number, go to https://webapp.bgsu.edu/newaccount/servlet/AccountCreation
  4. Follow the directions to set up your BGSU email and password.
  5. Wait about one hour for your account to be created
  6. Once you have your BGSU ID and password, go to MyBGSU (http://my.bgsu.edu) and log in.
  7. Click on “Student Center” near the bottom of the page.
  8. Under “Academics” hit “Search” – the letters in the course name (EDAS) are the subject, the numbers are course number.

This workshop will focus on the 12 board of education leadership practices identified by recent research as having a positive impact on student achievement.
Workshop Objectives:
     1. Become familiar with each of the 12 board of education research-based leadership practices that impact student achievement.
     2. Become aware of the relationship between board of education leadership practices and superintendent leadership.
     3. Describe and analyze to what extent these practices are evident in their district.
     4. Develop plans to encourage these practices in their district.
